Creating Custom Gears in Onshape (Using the Revolute Mate, Assemblies, and the Gear Relation Tool)
Hey guys! In this video, we're covering a really practical and easy method for creating custom gears for projects using a fee online CAD called Onshape. I've been using it for my distance learning classes, and it's been an awesome tool. We'll also cover using gears in a larger assembly, setting up multiple gears to interact, and animating the whole thing!
The RF Nano Controller Upgrade! (Building your own custom NRF24L01 Arduino based Robot Controller)
Hey guys! As I'm sure you know by now, I'm a huge fan of the NRF24L01, it's a great way to get two Arduinos talking. When the RF Nano (Arduino Nano with integrated NRF24L01) came on the scene about a year ago, I was so excited. It has never been so easy for me and my students to build custom controllers for our robotics projects! Since then, I've been using our trusty RF Nano controller PCB. The same one we've had in the shop! It has been a trusty little board, but now it's time for an upgrade! We've got two main goals with this tutorial here. The first is to share some really fun code examples and share some of the background info for anyone who has purchased our RF Nano controller in our shop. The second is to provide the files, and the guidance you'd need to build your very own custom controller! Soldering up your ESP32 Voyager! (A quick guide to 0805 and other common surface mount components)
Hey guys! I love soldering up a brand new circuit board, designing your board, grabbing all of the components, soldering everything up.. and once you turn on your new board, and it springs to life, there's nothing like it! This video is for all of you out there looking to solder up your ESP32 Voyager or Explorer Kit. While we offer all of our kits pre-soldered, we also offer our kits DIY! There are a few surface mount components involved, that may be a little intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, are a blast to solder up! While at ACBR Headquarters we use solder stencils, and an industrial pcb hot plate for our pre-soldered kits, it's possible to assemble one of our boards with a minimal amount of equipment. ESP32 vs Arduino: Servo Motor Control!
Hey guys! This video is all about the difference between programming basic servo movement with the ESP32 compared to using an Arduino. There are a ton of makers out there that may be a little intimidated to making the switch over to ESP32, I'm hoping this video can help inspire some of you out there to try it out! There may be a few extra steps to getting your servos moving using an ESP32, but those extra steps, give you a ton of control, allowing you to incorporate all kinds of awesome servo features into your next project!
